We are looking for a person with the skills, experience and personal attributes to lead us in sustaining and improving the delivery of primary healthcare to our patient population. A strategic thinker you will have an excellent track record, not necessarily limited to General Practice or the NHS, in working collaboratively with other stakeholders, internal and external, in the management of change and development of new processes. You will also have a good grounding in the financial management of an SME business with a substantial turnover. There is already a strong management team in place and you will oversee the efficient and effective running of the Practice.
Appletree is a well-performing practice with a strong set of values centred on its staff and patients, committed to providing a high quality, professional service within a friendly, enjoyable workplace. The successful applicant will be able to balance the strategic management of our business with the inter-personal skills to work within our practice ethos.
This is a new role for us, and for the right person it is an opportunity to work closely with the Appletree GP partners in its design and development.
We envisage that the role will entail a 3-5 day working week – negotiable for the right candidate – providing a flexible work/life balance, personal and professional development, an excellent remuneration package including a pro rata salary on commencement of £40,000+, the NHS pension scheme and generous holiday entitlement.
Given that this is not a day to day operational role, experience of leading a GP practice team is not a pre-requisite for this position. We welcome candidates from a range of career backgrounds.
Do you fit this description? Do you have the skills and experience, energy and expertise, to lead us in optimising the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for GP practices? Is the role of Business Manager in the NHS-commissioned Healthcare sector one that interests you? If so we would love to hear from you.
Prospective candidates are welcome to contact Stephen Leather, Practice Manager at [email protected] or by calling 01332 843280 to discuss the role in more detail and arrange an informal visit to the practice.
The closing date for applications is 30th September 2019 with the first round of interviews to be held in the week commencing 7th October 2019.
