Helen Rodger, Advanced Clinical Practitioner

BSc (hons), HCPC registered Paramedic

After graduating from Lancaster University in 1996 with a BSc Hons in Biological Sciences I worked in the Civil Service for a number of years bfore altering my career path and joining East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) in 2004.  Here I worked for a short time as an Emergency Technician before achieving my Paramedic qualification.  During my time with EMAS I have worked on an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and latterly as a front line Team Leader.

I am looking forward to using my existing skills in my role here at Appletree as a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner and also learning new skills by embarking on the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice at Sheffield Hallam University in the New Year.

I was born in Derby and have lived and worked in Derby and   the surrounding areas for the majority of my life.  I have two small children to keep me busy whilst not at work and I enjoy walking and decorating cakes.

The Patient Participation Group (PPG) would be interested in how you currently use the services offered by Appletree and would appreciate if you could spare 5 minutes to complete a survey.
