There are numerous online platforms for patients to register for online services. Below are the two most commonly used:
NHS App
The NHS App is an online service suitable for tablets or smartphones and is available to patients aged 13 years and over. It offers the following services:
- check your symptoms
- access NHS online 111
- book and manage appointments
- order repeat prescriptions
- get health advice
- manage organ donation decisions
- view your NHS number
- view your vaccine passport (new)
- change your nominated pharmacy
- view your medical records including test results (to access you medical records, you will need to attend surgery with 2 forms of identification, one of them being photo identification eg. passport.
ou are able to set up an account without contacting your GP surgery by downloading the NHS app to your smart device eg. tablet/mobile phone. To create an account you will need:
- ID in the form of a passport, UK or EU driving licence, or European national identity card

All information sent to the Surgery via the NHS App is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so they cannot be intercepted. Only you and the surgery are able to see this information.

Systmonline is another online platform but you can only register for this by attending the surgery. Systmonline offers the following services:
- book and manage appointments
- view your summary care record
- complete questionnaires
- change your contact details
- change your nominated pharmacy
- order repeat prescriptions
- viewing of childhood vaccinations
- Get information about the practice
- view medical records including test results
Please download and complete an Application for online access form and bring it along to the surgery with two forms of identification (one item from each of the following lists):
- Personal ID: Current passport, photocard driving licence, birth certificate etc.
- Address ID: Utility bill, bank statement or council tax etc. (with your name, address and dated within the last 6 months).
You will then be given your confidential login information.
For children under 11 years old, a parent/guardian will need to have their own Systmonline account, so that we can enable the proxy access to the child’s records. From the age of 11 years proxy access is withdrawn as your child has a right to confidentiality; it is felt that from this age they may have aspects of their online account they would prefer to be kept private.
