Dr Samantha Thomson

BMBS Nottingham 2007 MRCGP, DRCOG, DFSRH

I was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. and after my first life as a DieseI engineer at Ford motor company I returned to education in 2003 at Nottingham University on the Graduate Entry Medicine course based in Derby, as I had always wanted to be a doctor and thought it was time I trained to be one!

I completed my GP training in Derby, spending my final year here at Appletree and have continued to work here more or less ever since. I am the lead GP Registrar trainer at the practice, aiming to enthuse and train the coming generations of GP. My clinical interests are women’s health, sexual health and End of life care.
