Disabled Access

The Practice is easily accessible and user-friendly for disabled and wheelchair-bound patients.

At Duffield there are designated parking spaces in the car park together with full wheelchair access to all patient areas of the Practice.

There are toilet facilities for the disabled in the waiting room.

At Little Eaton Surgery there is no wheelchair access at the front door, but you can access the surgery via the back door (there is a buzzer at the back door to alert the Receptionist).

A hearing loop is available to help the hard of hearing have clearer conversations. A portable hearing loop can be made available for use during your appointment with the clinician.  Please ask at reception.

For visually impaired patients, we offer the opportunity to have an escorted tour of the public areas of the practice to help to familiarise them with the layout of the building. Please speak to our Reception Staff, who will do their utmost to assist you.

NEW IMPORTANT CHANGES AT APPLETREE:- Please do not visit the surgery in person without being asked to do so, you will be putting yourself and other patients at serious risk or harm. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES visit the surgery if you have a new continuous cough or fever. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE TAKEN THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CLOSE OUR BRANCH SITE AT LITTLE EATON UNTIL FUTURE NOTICE. We understand that many of you will be worried but can assure you that we care passionately about our patients and we will be working tirelessly to provide the care that our community deserves. The phone lines are extremely busy at the moment and we ask unless medical that you try and get your answers from information on the following websites: www.gov.uk, www.111.nhs.uk or www.nhs.uk.
