I am a registered nurse by background, and initially worked in the community as a staff nurse as part of a district nurse team. I became a qualified district nurse, working within various areas in Derby city to facilitate the nursing needs of frail elderly housebound patients.
As a District Nurse, I specialised in end of life care, continence, wound care including the management of lower leg wounds, and the management of spinal injury patients and their long term needs. I joined Appletree Medical Practice as a trainee advanced clinical practitioner in October 2021 following completion of my prescribing qualification and am working towards my advanced practitioner qualification currently.
In my spare time I am a keen water skier.
